The BIM user plays a passive role by reading information and looking at models without making any changes themselves. As an information user, he uses the data model solely to obtain information, but does not add his own data or information to the model. These users are not actively involved in the process of model creation and therefore do not actively contribute to the development of the BIM model. Their focus is on understanding and using the available information within the BIM system.
