ÖNORM A 2063

ÖNORM A 2063

ÖNORM A 2063:2015 regulated the electronic data exchange for the tendering, awarding and invoicing phases (AVA). On March 15, 2021, it was replaced by the new ÖNORM 2063:2021, which is divided into two parts and serves National standardization.

The first part, ÖNORM A 2063-1 "Exchange of data in electronic form for the tendering, awarding and invoicing phases (AVA) - Part 1: Exchange of service description, tender, offer, order and invoicing data", describes the Data exchange formatsin the AVA process and covers the service description, the service list and invoicing. This part also contains additions to the old ÖNORM, including the option of including items from an additional offer that have not yet been commissioned in a test invoice and exchanging invoices without measurement sheets for interim payments in accordance with ÖNORM B 2110.

The second part, ÖNORM A 2063-2 “Exchange of data in electronic form for the tendering, awarding and invoicing phases (AVA) - Part 2: Consideration of the planning method Building Information Modeling (BIM) Level 3”, brings with it the most important innovations compared to the previous version. It describes the data structures of the AVA process using Building Information Modeling (BIM) in accordance with ÖNORM A 6241 and ISO 16739. This means that it is possible to merge data from the specifications and the BIM model. This requires uniformity of the data structures, data formats and contents of the various software applications. The new ÖNORM thus creates an open and software-neutral exchange of electronic data for the AVA process according to the BIM method for the first time.

Given that a BIM model is not just a 3D drawing but also provides accurate geometric and Alphanumeric information digitally mapping the entire lifecycle from pre-planning to demolition, a uniform standard for Interoperability is a great advantage.
