ISO 12006-3

DIN EN ISO 12006-3 "Civil engineering - Organization of data on buildings - Part 3: Structure for object-oriented information exchange" specifies an information model for creating dictionaries that is language-independent. This model can be used to store and make available information about buildings. In addition, classification systems, data models, object models and process models can also be linked.

Furthermore, the standard also forms the basis for the standard library International Framework for Dictionaries (IFD) and the web-based service buildingSMART Data Dictionary (bSDD), both of which were developed by buildingSMART International.
